Over the weekend Emily and Kerry visited and Charlie promptly fell in love with both of them. This morning he keeps looking around the house and I think he's confused about where the pretty ladies went.
Charlie finally got to experience a true Madison weekend. On Saturday we went to the Farmer's Market with the baby carrier (I had to include this picture of the "Raging Grannies for Peace), then had coffee on Monona Terrace (where a teething Charlie tried with all his might to bite the shiny table), visited the zoo, walked around the lake and up Monroe Street, had a picnic in Maple Bluff, then went to dinner. Needless to say he was wiped out (as were mommy and daddy!)
Update on the excersaucer: Charlie's relationship with the hedgehog in the bubble has deteriorated to the point that we've had to remove it from the excersaucer altogether. What started as fascination with the vermin quickly turned to aggression toward it and its un-bitable bubble, and has now turned into an unhealthy obsession. This morning's battle with the hedgehog has reduced Charlie to frustrated tears, so I finally figured out a way to unsnap it. At least Charlie seems to get along with the other toys!
