Charlie finally got a true taste of summer during another trip to Cincinnati. Grandma and Grandpa got him a little pool and some fun water toys and Aunt Kate provided the adorable swimsuit. Charlie loved the pool, but wasn't so sure about Grandpa's slip 'n slide. Still, he handled his one and only trip down the freezing slide like a little man and didn't even cry.
Actually, Charlie didn't cry all weekend; he was in heaven getting attention from everyone. Bill and I had a pretty good weekend ourselves. We went out both nights (to a reception on Friday and a wedding on Saturday) and left Charlie to the expert care of his grandparents and aunts. On Sunday morning he talked up a storm and I got the feeling he was trying to tell us about the amazing things he saw at the St. Antoninus fair the night before.
On Sunday we helped Billy celebrate his first Father's Day and Charlie got to hang out with all the relatives. We arrived home exhausted, a little sunburned, and happy.

What a fun weekend. It looks like Charlie loves sun and water
(he has the "Wilson" tan!). How great that Grandma and Grandpa Meier thought of outside water activities. Also great that Aunt Kate, who cannot come home often like Uncle Cam, got to spend this fun filled weekend with Charlie.
