One turkey down; one to go (Weeks 36-37)

This year Courtney and I celebrated our first Thanksgiving away from our families (Courtney can't travel after you-know-who is 36 weeks along). Although we missed seeing family and friends, we made up for it by making our own feast of turkey, stuffing, potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie (and sparkling pear juice in lieu of wine for Courtney!). We have a new appreciation for the work our mothers have done over the years; we never realized just how much work and planning goes into making a Thanksgiving dinner. Baby was our only guest, and he seemed to enjoy all the food. Courtney reported that he kicked around contentedly before both of them fell sound asleep in front of the fire as I cleaned up the mess in the kitchen.

Over the weekend we completed our Christmas shopping and even decorated the house with our (admittedly pathetic) "tree"--it's closer to the Charlie Brown Christmas branch--and other assorted decorations. Now the house is set for our little elf to make his appearance!

Wow, that Turkey not looks yummy, it also looks about the size of Moose! I can hardly wait to spend Cheistmas with mama and papa Wilson/Meier, Uncle Cameron, and Grandpa Coach. We know that besides admiring the newest (and perhaps biggest) member of our family we will also have lots of yummy food to eat. You outdid yourselves, Courtney and Billy, on your 1st of many Thanksgiving dinners to come.
