This weekend Charlie got to spend time with mommy's dear friends from Ohio. Katie and Annie were so loving and sweet to him even though he fussed and cried much of the time. I can't wait until he can tell us why he' upset; between teething, a diaper rash, the beginnings of a cold and possibly wanting more attention from mom, it was hard to know what was going on. But I had a wonderful time having high tea, showing off Madison, and talking, talking, talking to my old friends.
This morning Charlie made Billy and me laugh several times. First, we were all in bed and Charlie was being particularly fierce. He was growling, pumping his legs, hollering, and waving his arms. All of a sudden he planted his feet and leapt toward Billy! He flew through the air like a baby puma. It was hilarious. Once we settled down from this funny moment, I was in the shower and Charlie peeked around the curtain. When the spray from the water hit his face, he remained calm but opened his mouth wide and stuck out his tongue. In seconds his whole head and face were wet, but he didn't want to move from his spot. It was very cute. It's nice having the constant entertainment!

Charlies "Puma Jump" reminds me of his Uncle Cam's favorite trick of hurling himself through the air between the hall and livingroom to crash on the rug as his big sister Court gingerly walked past him shaking her head no-no.
I am so glad you had time to spend time with your dear friends Katie and Annie. Grandpa Coach came to Charlie's defence by saying he was probably fussy because he was surrounded by girls and having to share his mom!
